Christopher Farner

Couples, Marriage & Family Counselor

During the past 15 years, I have been awarded my Masters Degree in Couples, Marriage & Family Counseling and am a licensed Marriage & Family therapist in the state of Washington. I am also an active member of the American Counseling Association, the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the WA Association of Marriage & Family Therapists.

When you meet with me you will quickly realize that I am intentional about creating a safe and trusting environment for you to explore your deeper needs and emotions. Conversations are held in strict confidence and there is complete acceptance of sexual, ethnic and cultural diversity.

I also focus on doing one thing very well... teaching you how to emotionally connect with your partner or family members so that (1) you are able to be open with your feelings without being criticized or judged, (2) you finally feel completely heard and understood (3) you can resolve conflicts as a team and (4) you give and receive empathy, appreciation, and respect for each other while always feeling safe and secure.

Co-creating your Relationship Plan, identifying and resolving negative patterns of interaction, completing homework assignments and actively using in-session role playing to practice new skills, and learning more effective ways to provide each other with a ""safe harbor" to explore deeper emotions are some of the many benefits you will realize during our time together.
